A conversation with Shelley Klaas, a counselor at Neil Armstrong Elementary School in Bettendorf, Iowa. Klaas has been a school counselor for 27 years and was a finalist for the 2012 ASCA School Counselor of the Year. Klaas and  Jill Cook, ASCA assistant director, discuss some of the innovative programs Klaas has been involved in over the years, including Backpacks for Snacks, the community review team and the certified assistance dog program.
